- The ninth studio album by the Faroese folk metal band Týr is titled Battle Ballads. The band produced it themselves, and Metal Blade Records released it on April 12, 2024. Critics gave the album generally favorable reviews. Distorted Sound’s Scott Wilson gave the record an eight out of ten and referred to it as “a massive win.” The album received praise from Rock ‘N’ Load, who stated that “Battle Ballads is not breaking new ground, however, it is a solid addition to anyone’s collection who likes their Folk, Symphonic or Power Metal.”
